That was certainly not the case with the X3, I had to do 30 or 35% over the factory tint with 20% on the front two. WebHere’s the end product. He explained the front widows have a slight tint to them and he measured the percentage using a device. He said if you go 35% in the front it would effectively be close to 20% to match the rears. 20% on the front would actually come out darker than the rear. So I’m happy with his advice and the results.

So I kept it legal by going with 35% for front, 70% (highest light transmittance available with Xpel PRIME XR PLUS) for rear, hatch, and moonroof.
