WebbThe People in the Trees is a great re-imagining, and novelizaton of this whole story. I urge you to read the book first, and then check out Daniel Gajdusek on Wikipedia. You'll see what a great job the novelist has done in using this story as a jumping off point for the novel. WebbI bought "The People in the Trees" after I read Yanagihara's book "A little Life", which touched and captured me and I consider one of the best books of 2015. In "The people in the trees" I continued to enjoyed her style of writing and the main story line. The main story is basically covered in the first 2/3 of the book and is neatly written.
