WebBLIND FURY is close to being an excellent action adventure film. The martial arts are very good, performed with great aplomb, skill and humor. Unfortunately, about half way through the film, some of the bad guys show their limited vocabulary by using profanities and obscenities — an unnecessary blot on an otherwise good movie. Blind Fury is a 1989 American action comedy film directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Rutger Hauer, Brandon Call, Terry O'Quinn, Lisa Blount, Randall "Tex" Cobb, and Noble Willingham. The screenplay by Charles Robert Carner is a loosely based, modernized remake of Zatoichi Challenged, the 17th film in the Japanese Zatoichi film series.

WebThis review is for Blind Fury from 1990. I can't remember if I ever watched this back in the day. I really enjoy movies from the 1980's and '90's and this one did not disappoint. The movie stars Rutger Hauer as Nick Parker. Nick kind of reminded me of an older Daredevil (aka Matt Murdock). Lol. The movie also stars Brandon Call as Billy Devereaux.
