Chinese mauser markings
WebMar 1, 2012 · Picked up this Chinese marked Mauser yesterday for $175. Looks like a 1938 dated Belgian FN with large receiver ring and logo, and from what I understand, is somewhat uncommon. The bolt has a black oxide finish, and appears to be from another model (?), as the knob is not teardrop shaped. WebMarkings include a six-pointed star on both sides of the chamber and the crest of Sultan Abdul Hamid II (a trophy of crossed Turkish flags, various polearms, and a collection of his royal awards and honours) and the Muslim year "1314" on the square left rear frame panel.
